
BEEF RENDANG

Ingredients

1 Jar of Nora's Homemade Rendang Curry Paste
500g or 1kg Diced Beef
4 table spoon of kerisik (roasted coconut)**
1 can of coconut milk
Salt

Method
​
Begin by placing 1 Jar of rendang curry paste directly into the saucepan. Stir the paste until its aromatic flavours are released.
Introduce your beef and ensure thorough coating with the paste by mixing well. Cook for 5 minutes until the beef is beautifully browned. Cover with a lid.
Once the beef turns brown, add in 1 can of coconut milk and two cups of water and introduce the roasted coconut (kerisik).
Allow it to simmer for 2 hours over medium heat. After 1 hour, uncover the pot to reduce the liquid, stirring continuously.
In 2 hours, the beef rendang should be perfectly cooked and tender. Season with sea salt to taste, and savour the rich and aromatic goodness of this delightful dish.
